Literary events run the gamut from songs to literature, literature to music, and music to satire. As actor Hans-Peter Korff says in a “threatening” tone, “I'm now going to entertain you a bit ...” followed up by a presentation of his rather pointed texts.
German TV actress Hannelore Hoger will read from the works of Kurt Tucholsky and will be accompanied on the piano with works by Schumann and Debussy.
You can experience an entire literary summer with readings in Prerow, in the old Seemannskirche, at Kulturkaten Kiek In , or under the starry sky. The readings nights on the beach have become a cult tradition in their own right. Wrapped up in a blanket, facing the open sea as the sun sets, and perhaps with a glass of wine in hand as you listen to stories that are charming, funny, a bit sexy, and especially easy-going entertainment perfect for summer. The icing on the cake: admission is free.
And there’s even a reading series for the little ones: the bedtime story hour takes place at 7 o’clock every Thursday in July and August in the Darß-Museum. You and the kids can listen to legends and tales of the sea, life on the coast, and old sailor’s yarns before turning in for the night.
